The President’s Report – March 11th, 2008

First order of business getting in your membership dues, we need to send the money in so please get squared up with Treasurer Mark.

Last week was our last meeting at the Hotel Stotsenberg due to the fact that they decided to raise our lunch price from P250 to P400 with a 15 person minimum starting this week. Obviously, our budget cannot accommodate such an increase, so we are temporarily meet at Jimmy Dale’s Blue Boar Inn until we can decide where we will relocate to.

Rtn Ron Nethercutt will act as our Day Chairman and provide a special Presentation for our new and continuing Paul Harris Fellows. I’m sure that we are in for a real treat.

Dr. Art Basa of the Strongsville Rotary Club advised me that our Computer Lab Matching Grant has been approved by the Club and it was forwarded to Rotary International Foundation for final approval.

Last Tuesday at our combination Foundation and Club Board meeting held at the Bahay Bat Center we finalized the job descriptions of the House Parents discussed the implementation of the disciplinary policy already in existence at the Center. We also approved the administration of Psychological Profile Tests for our residents and staff to be given by the Psychology Professors of Miriam College – Manila. The Profile Psychometric Tests were administered on Friday, March 7, 2008. the results and recommendations will be shared with the membership and interpreted by the Miriam personal. We are asking the Psychology Department of Angeles Foundation University to design a Guidance and Counseling Program for our elementary school and Center. Ms. Bheay Lazatin has volunteered to act as our Child Psychology at the Center. She has a Master’s in Child Psychology and is waiting to sit for her Board Exams this summer.

I have asked VP Joel to call a meeting of the Rotarians he has selected for his Board. We all need to get behind him and help Joel in getting ready for the transition. Joel is going to make a Great President and help elevate our Club to greater heights. We’ll be there for you, VP Joel, you can count on us.

Discon in Baguio on April 18-20 is an event that we should plan to attend

That’s all folks, ….President Victor
