Very Happy The President’s Report – June 30th, 2008 Very Happy

Well, my Fellow Rotarians, this is my last Report as your President. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for allowing me to represent the Rotary Club of Clark Centennial in District 3790 this past year. It has been quite a roller coaster ride with many ups and downs, although, quite exciting for me. I was very reluctant to take on the responsibility of President, but as time went by, I sort of grew into the job and actually started to enjoy it and, like everything else, as soon as you start to enjoy the job, it is time to leave.
With the help and hard work of many of our Rotarians, we raised a lot of money for our Bahay Bata Center which helped pay for our ever growing operating expenses. We can be proud of our Angeles Bahay Bata Learning Center which is run by qualified licensed elementary school teachers who are helping turn our kids into scholars who can compete on a level playing field with any school in Angeles City, scholastically, in sports and music. We have lights going up at the Maria Wright Baseball Field for night games, all of the buildings are in the process of being repaired and re-painted. The Social Workers that we have hired have brought our Center up to speed with DSWD and CSWD. We have a Child Psychologist coming on board to work with our kids on a Pro Bono Basis. The addition of a Center Administrator, Carl Chiulli, has made a tremendous difference in the operation and running of the Center. These are two professional’s that we are getting for free and they are a true God Send.
We were able to obtain Rotary International Matching Grant for funding a Computer Laboratory at our Angeles Bahay Bata Learning Center which has been approved to the tune of USD $15,000.00. And we’ve sent in proposals for four more Matching Grants which include; teachers’ salaries, administrative salaries, clothing and food. All of these grants will come to fruition during President Joel’s term which is fine because it doesn’t matter who rings them in as long as we get them. If we are able to obtain all of them, it will help tremendously in building up our Foundation Trust fund and help us save money.
As I pass the Gavel over to our new President Joel Dungca, I do it with the pride of knowing that I am the Past President of the Rotary Club of Clark Centennial and we have another great President coming on board. I can now dedicate my full attention to the running of the RCCC Street Children’s Foundation Bahay Bata Center as your President.
Again, thanks for allowing me to represent all of your as your President and for all of your hard work in helping me accomplish what we did during this past year.

That’s all I have for this term folks, ….President Victor
